James A. Hamilton III, ESQ
James A. Hamilton III, Esq., graduated from Temple Law School in 1978. Mr. Hamilton is responsible for managing most of the firm’s litigation, as well as trying the major jury trials, including medical malpractice, infant death, and catastrophic injury cases.
After practicing for several years, Mr. Hamilton was accepted into, and successfully completed, the intensive Litvin Advanced Trial Advocacy Program, which is sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association. This nationally known training course for experienced litigators later became the inspiration for Temple Law School’s Master’s in Advocacy degree.
Mr. Hamilton was appointed as Settlement Master by the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. This prestigious position was created to help clear the backlog of cases jamming the Philadelphia courts. Mr. Hamilton, and others like him, were instrumental in speeding up the civil justice system in Philadelphia so that it now ranks as one of the best systems in the country. He was subsequently appointed as Judge Pro Tempore in the Day Forward/Major Jury Program. He also served as a Federal Arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hamilton is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, The Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, The Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, The Justinian Society, The Philadelphia Bar Association and the John Peter Zenger Law Society.
